Years ago, he made some mistakes that led to jail time at age 19. But after serving his sentence, he committed to turning his life around. He entered a welding apprenticeship and now works full-time in the trade.
Even with steady progress, he spent three years trying to open a bank account. Time and again, he ran into roadblocks. No one seemed willing to hear his story or recognize how much he had changed.
